Took this to pay my College Exam Fees!

by - July 03, 2020

Just after Trip in YBM (That's coming in another post ) to my house. I was pushed again to go Palakkad for Paying my College exam fees! 😉 Well! I got another reason to explore this newbie

Fact: This is First Volvo Multiaxle Sleeper Bus in Chennai - Ernakulam route! Another well-established operator based on Thanjavur

So! This is about AjithKumar's Travel Review Raahath Transports on 08/09/19

Starting with few details:

Chassis Type: Volvo B11R I-Shift Multi-Axle
Body Maker/Model: SMK Prakash Celeste 42berths
Boarding Point: Porur Toll
Dropping Point: Palakkad Bypass (Chandranagar Junction)

As this was a suddenly planned one I had only fewer options to choose

Choosing a Multi-Axle Sleeper for the first time reaching sky-high excitement. This was a newly started service GPS device hasn't fixed yet. Got a call from crews that bus is about to arrive in 10mins. A completely different experience after entering this Swedish Beauty😍. Got into my berth interiors were neat and curtains and bedsheet were tidy. Got a 500ml Water bottle.

To my surprise when I texted to my "TamilNadu OmniBus Whatsapp Group" that I have boarded the same person was co-passenger for me in this bus. After he boarded I went close to his berth and we had a conversation for a long time.

Started to cruise and took First break in Hotel Aaryas near Melmaruvathur for around 15mins and second break and fuel filling at KKS Fuels in Perundurai Bypass at 3:50AM. Restrooms were neat in both of the stops. Driving Style was good but harsh breaking was felt at times.

No words to say about suspension ride was smooth with sleep-friendly carrying like a baby. There was no entertainment system which was really Disappointing. Single Berth was less in Width and Headroom height was not bad. Owing to rush for Own Festival Build Quality was lacking and many places in the berth had sharp edges.
Asia's Longest Bus B11R captured during Reststop in my Journey
Engine noise is not much noticeable as I was in Front Row. Dropped at Palakkad Bypass around 5:50AM 25mins behind the schedule without Coimbatore city entry not bad for a Multi-Axle Sleeper though. A friend Mr.Senthil who was riding with me got down at Coimbatore Bypass Toll. It was such a pleasure to meet him 😊

Praiseworthy Aspects:

1) Fresh and Neatly maintained interior and berths
2)Good rest stops
3) World Class Luxury and Comfort
4) Sleep Friendly ride

Shortcomings:

1) No Entertainment System which most of them offer in this route

Verdict: Overall a "Smoothest Cruising" ride I ever had with new Volvo Sleeper Experience.

Hope I had covered all aspects. The return trip was on the same day night in Tippu Sultan Travels but unfortunately, and I was tired coming back from college overall it was a fair ride to mean it in a word.
